     Le 18 juin 2024, le président Biden a annoncé une série d'actions en matière d'immigration en utilisant l'autorité que lui confèrent les lois existantes sur l'immigration. Ces mesures aideront certaines personnes sans papiers aux États-Unis, notamment:
  • Les conjoints et les enfants de citoyens américains qui vivent aux États-Unis depuis au moins 10 ans.
  • Vous pouvez demander votre carte verte sans quitter les États-Unis si, à compter du 17 juin 2024:
○ Vous vous trouvez aux États-Unis après y être entré sans autorisation;
○ Vous avez vécu aux États-Unis pendant au moins 10 ans et ne les avez jamais quittés;
○ Vous êtes légalement marié(e) à un(e) citoyen(ne) américain(e) ou avez un beau-fils ou une belle-fille avec un(e) citoyen(ne) américain(e) ; et
○ Vous n'avez pas d'antécédents criminels particuliers et vous ne représentez pas une menace pour la sécurité nationale ou la sécurité publique.
  • Si vous répondez à ces critères, le gouvernement PEUT vous accorder une "parole-in-place".
  • "Parole" serait accordée pour une période unique de trois ans.
  • Vous pouvez également bénéficier d'une autorisation d'emploi pour une durée maximale de trois ans..
  • Si vous obtenez la "parole", vous pouvez demander votre carte verte dans les trois ans suivant l'approbation.. 
  • L'éligibilité est déterminée au cas par cas.
  • Les bénéficiaires de DACA et les "Dreamers" ayant fait des études supérieures qui sont qualifiés pour un statut de non-immigrant, tel qu'un visa d'occupation spécialisée H-1B.
  • Vous pouvez demander un visa temporaire plus facilement si:
○ Vous êtes titulaire d'un diplôme délivré par un établissement d'enseignement supérieur américain accrédité; et
○ Vous avez reçu une offre d'emploi d'un employeur américain dans un domaine lié à votre diplôme..

Veuillez noter que ces programmes n'ont PAS ENCORE commencé. Les détails concernant les modalités de candidature devraient être publiés d'ici la fin de l'été par le biais d'un avis du Registre fédéral.

  • Il n'est pas possible de déposer une demande pour l'instant.
  • Une demande déposée à l'avance sera rejetée.
  • Pour l'instant, vous ne devez payer à personne les frais liés au dépôt de la demande.
  • Soyez patient et prenez le temps de trouver la bonne aide. Un mauvais conseil pourrait compromettre vos chances de rester aux États-Unis, d'obtenir un statut légal ou de devenir citoyen américain.
  • Ne vous laissez pas abuser par les notaires et autres consultants qui vous promettent des résultats immédiats ou des solutions spéciales pour vous voler votre argent. De nombreux individus peu scrupuleux coûtent plus cher que des avocats agréés! Your reference letters should describe specific instances where your skills and accomplishments shined through, or where you and your reference worked together towards meeting some goal. This level of detail comes naturally when your reference truly knows you as a professional because of a deep familiarity with your work or direct experience with you as a professional. 4. A Willingness to Advocate Zealously This is perhaps the most underrated quality in a recommender. You do not want a contact who is only willing to "confirm the facts." A letter that simply affirms facts and offers a standard affirmation of your skills and accomplishments will not convey to the officer that you are truly extraordinary. You should seek recommenders who are willing to be effusive. They should be prepared to use strong language—words like indispensable, unparalleled, world-class, and pioneer. This is a visa for exceptionally accomplished professionals, and for your references to be effective their words must convey to the officer that you are truly extraordinary. If a contact is hesitant to provide a glowing, high-energy recommendation, they may not be the right choice for this specific legal process.
